”When we look very closely at a painting, we see shapes and colors but cannot appreciate it unless we take a step back and admire the whole painting. In many instances, we treat life as a painting. Our eyes are glued to the canvas, but possibly too close up; we do not see the whole picture but only a small ugly detail representing a certain aspect of life. We have to take a step back. We need to ask God to help us see the entire painting.”
